Vivo - 3/5

2015 Manor rd.
Austin, TX 78722

Went to Vivo this week based on a friend's recommendation for Vegan tacos.
First let me define the difference between a Vegetarian and a Vegan.

Vegetarian - A vegetarian does not eat any meat, poultry, game, fish, shellfish or crustacea, or slaughter by-products. Milk and Cheese is fine.

Vegan - In dietary terms it refers to the practice of dispensing with all animal produce - including meat, fish, poultry, eggs, animal milks, honey, and their derivatives.

So now with an understanding of the difference, here is what we ordered.

Vegan Puffy taco - Tofu
Vegan Puffy taco - Bean, Avocado, and Cabbage
Vegetarian Enchilada - Fancy for Cheese Enchilada

This place is an expensive fancy place. The atmosphere is hip, sitting on the patio is like eating out in the Mexican forest. The food is OK but the atmosphere alone is worth a trip. I hear that some of their drinks have flowers in them.
Now that's sassy.

  1. I had to come back to this because Vivo has stepped it up for me. The tofu tastes a lot better than it used to and their Fiesta salad is fabulous. Cucumber margs and their chips and salsa alone are worth the visit.
